The family of Tommy O’Neill, a 34-year-old Irishman, have appealed for help to find him after he went missing in Ibiza.
Tommy was last seen on 13 May at the Amistat hostel in Sant Antoni de Portmany, and his family say they have not heard from him since.
Description
- Irish man, aged 34
- About six feet (1.83 m) tall
- Dark brown, curly hair
The family’s concern
Tommy’s brother has shared an appeal online asking anyone who may have met or seen him to come forward. He said Tommy’s mental health had been deteriorating recently, and that he may appear confused or behave unusually because he is in a vulnerable state.
Police inquiries
A missing-person report has been filed. Police are reviewing CCTV images, speaking to staff at the hostel and following up information from the public.
How to help
Anyone who has seen Tommy since mid-May, has spoken to him, or noticed anything that could be relevant around Sant Antoni is asked to contact the police. In Ibiza, information can be given to the Guardia Civil on 062 or through the general emergency number, 112, where English-speaking operators are available.
Even small details — the time and place of a sighting, who he was with, or what he was wearing — can help investigators.
Each summer, the islands’ police forces deal with a number of missing-person cases involving visitors, many of whom are found safe within days. Organisations that support families of missing people in Spain stress that sharing official appeals, rather than unverified information, is the most useful way the public can help.
