Eivissa Daurada: free candlelight concert on the walls of Dalt Vila

Local musicians perform film scores and neoclassical pieces at the Sant Pere bastion on 18 July; free tickets must be booked online.

Eivissa Daurada (Golden Ibiza) returns to Dalt Vila with a free open-air candlelight concert on the Sant Pere bastion on 18 July at 10pm.

The setting

Hundreds of candles will light the bastion, part of the 16th-century Renaissance walls of Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s UNESCO World Heritage old town. From the walls, the audience looks out over Ibiza town and the harbour — a backdrop that is very much part of the experience.

The music

The programme combines film music, neoclassical pieces and contemporary works, with music by:

  • Ludovico Einaudi;
  • Hans Zimmer;
  • Ennio Morricone;
  • Hania Rani;
  • Yann Tiersen;
  • JVKE.

The selection moves from quiet, reflective piano pieces to big cinematic themes.

The musicians

The concert is performed by musicians based in Ibiza:

Musician Instrument
Isaac Pérez Violin
Samuel Pérez Piano
Carlos Vesperinas Cello
Joan Carles Marí Percussion
Raquel Ortiz Vocals

How to get tickets

Entry is free, but places are limited and must be booked in advance through Ibiza town council’s website. Tickets tend to go quickly.

Tips

  • Arrive early to find a good spot.
  • Wear comfortable shoes: Dalt Vila’s streets are steep and cobbled.
  • Bring a light jacket, as it can be breezy on the walls at night.

Eivissa Daurada is part of a broader effort to bring culture into Ibiza’s historic spaces, giving residents and visitors a different way to experience the old town on summer nights.
