Wednesday 17 June will be mostly sunny and hot in Mallorca, with temperatures of 30°C or more across most of the island and light winds. There are no heat warnings for now, but forecasters expect them in the coming days, especially inland.
Next week
Weather models suggest that inland Mallorca could reach 40°C on Monday. In the interior of the island, a yellow heat warning is issued from 36°C and an amber warning from 39–40°C, so the island is already close to the thresholds.

Tuesday’s figures
The highest temperature on Tuesday afternoon was 35.3°C in Porreres. Nights are still relatively fresh in the mountains: the lowest minimum was 9.4°C at Son Torrella, in Escorca.
Preparing for the heat
With temperatures set to climb further, it is worth getting ready:
- drink water regularly, even if you’re not thirsty;
- wear light, loose clothing and a hat outdoors;
- plan outdoor activities and exercise for early morning or evening;
- use sunscreen of at least factor 30 and reapply it regularly;
- keep blinds down during the day and ventilate at night;
- check on older relatives and neighbours, who are most vulnerable.
If you feel dizzy, nauseous or unusually tired, move to a cool place and rest. Look out for official warnings from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), which may be issued for the start of next week.
