Saturday’s readings
The highest temperatures on Saturday were 37.5°C in Llucmajor, 37.3°C in Binissalem and 36.8°C in Santa Maria.
The week ahead
There are no warnings for Monday. Temperatures will ease slightly during the week but stay above 30°C — still above the normal maximum of around 28–30°C for early July.
The chance of rain has increased for Thursday, with some possibility of showers on Wednesday too. From Monday, winds will come mainly from the north and north-east, which could bring slightly fresher air.
Tips for Sunday
- Carry water and drink regularly.
- Wear a hat and apply high-factor sun cream; with UV at 10, skin can burn in minutes.
- People with respiratory problems should take care with dust in the air.
- Avoid strenuous activity during the warning hours.
Early next week should feel a little more comfortable, though still warm enough for the beach. Keep a light waterproof handy for Wednesday and Thursday, just in case.
