Staying safe in the sun
With a UV index of 8, unprotected skin can burn within minutes. Remember to:
- use sunscreen of at least factor 30 and reapply it regularly, especially after swimming;
- wear a hat, sunglasses and light clothing;
- drink water throughout the day;
- avoid strenuous activity, such as hiking or cycling, in the middle of the day;
- seek shade between noon and 5pm.
