The Ibizan hotel group Invisa Hotels has taken over the running of the four-star Invisa Hotel Casa Luis and the Casa Luis by Invisa Apartments in Santa Eulària des Riu, under a long-term operating contract.
A family-tourism landmark
Casa Luis is one of Santa Eulària’s best-known establishments and a reference point for family tourism in Ibiza. Invisa’s chief executive, Susana Juan, described it as an emblematic establishment and said the company wanted to recognise the work and vision of its founder, Luis Guasch Escandell, and continue his legacy.
Strengthening its holiday portfolio
The deal reinforces Invisa’s position in the holiday segment, where it has a long track record in the Balearic market. The company says the move reflects its commitment to Ibiza and to a responsible model of tourism.
Growth plan
The incorporation of Casa Luis is part of a diversified growth strategy based on different formulas — buying, leasing or managing hotels — mainly in Ibiza, its home market, while remaining open to opportunities in other established destinations.
Invisa describes itself as an Ibizan family business with a consolidated second generation in charge and a third generation already involved in management, which it says guarantees continuity and long-term commitment.
The group today
| Rooms | more than 1,600 |
| Hotels | nine |
| Locations | Ibiza, Madrid and Barcelona |
The group is also developing a resort project, Costa Azul, on the northern coast of Bahia in Brazil.
A changing market
The deal reflects a wider trend in the Balearic hotel sector, in which smaller, independent family-run hotels are increasingly being taken over or managed by larger groups, often with plans to renovate and reposition them. Invisa’s emphasis on continuing Casa Luis’s family-tourism tradition suggests it intends to keep the hotel’s character, in a destination where family holidays remain an important alternative to Ibiza’s nightlife image.
