Why it matters
Construction and building maintenance are a major part of Ibiza’s economy, particularly over the winter, when hotels, villas and restaurants carry out renovations ahead of the summer season. Events like this give local professionals the chance to try new equipment before investing in it, without having to travel to the mainland.
Tips before buying cordless tools
- Stick to one battery platform where possible, so batteries can be shared between tools.
- Check the warranty and the availability of local servicing and spare parts.
- Consider the total cost, including batteries and chargers, not just the tool itself.
- Look at safety features, such as brakes and kickback protection on saws and grinders.
