Spanish Teamfight Tactics player Guillosko has won the EMEA Regional Finals, securing a direct invitation to the Tactician’s Crown, the world championship for the game’s current set.
The Regional Finals
The EMEA finals were played over two weekends, from 26 to 28 June and from 3 to 5 July. Guillosko finished top, and four other players also earned places at the world championship:
| Player | Country |
|---|---|
| Guillosko | Spain |
| Safo20 | Spain |
| HoroX | China / United Kingdom |
| Hypno | France |
| Bensac | France |
They join four players who had already qualified through the TFT Pro Circuit in EMEA: ZyK0o, Jedusor and Tarteman of France, and PeepoGlad of Poland. In total, nine players will represent the region.
Two Spaniards among the region’s qualifiers is a strong result for the country’s TFT scene.
How the Tactician’s Crown works
The Tactician’s Crown brings together the 40 best players in the world for each set of the game.
Day one. All 40 players play six games. Lobbies are reshuffled every two games using snake seeding, and the field is cut to 32.
Day two. Elimination rounds reduce the field from 32 to 24, then 16 and finally eight.
The final. The last eight play under “checkmate” rules: once a player reaches 20 points, they win the title by taking first place in any subsequent game.
The tournament runs from 10 to 12 July and is broadcast live on the official Teamfight Tactics Twitch channel.
