GTA 6 pre-orders open on 25 June as Rockstar reveals the cover art

The cover features protagonists Jason and Lucia against scenes from Leonida, ahead of the 19 November launch.

Rockstar Games has announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will open on Thursday 25 June, both digitally and in shops, and has revealed the game’s official cover art. The game launches on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The cover

The artwork features the game’s two protagonists, Jason and Lucia, surrounded by scenes from the fictional state of Leonida and its main city, Vice City, a version of Miami. In keeping with the series’ tradition, the cover is made up of panels showing different characters and locations.

Rockstar presented the artwork in a short video with music, and it will appear on the physical edition and on digital store pages.

What pre-orders should reveal

With reservations about to open, players are expecting details of:

  • the price of the standard edition and any special editions;
  • the contents of each edition;
  • pre-order bonuses, such as in-game items.

Rockstar has not announced a third trailer, but the cover reveal and the opening of pre-orders suggest the marketing campaign is now in full swing.

A long wait

GTA VI has been one of the most eagerly anticipated games in years since it was first revealed in December 2023, and its release has already been delayed. The previous instalment, GTA V, released in 2013, remains one of the best-selling games of all time, so expectations for the sequel are enormous.

For players, the opening of pre-orders is the clearest sign yet that the November release date is fixed.
