Conan Exiles Enhanced launches Legacy of the Giant-Kings, a free four-part story

The first chapter arrives on 21 July with the Nameless City, the Cyclopean Halls and the long-requested ability to repair legendary items.

Conan Exiles Enhanced is riding a wave of popularity, recently reaching more than 47,000 simultaneous players, its highest peak since launch. Funcom and Inflexion Games are building on that momentum with Legacy of the Giant-Kings, a four-part story arc released as free updates, starting on 21 July.

A story in four chapters

The developers say they designed the arc while working on the Enhanced edition, with the aim of deepening the lore of the Exiled Lands and adding new gameplay.

  • Part 1 – The Nameless City and the Cyclopean Halls. Players descend beneath the surface to explore a mysterious underground city, where the enigmatic Akhamet guides them towards the remains of the Giant-Kings.
  • Part 2 brings signs of ancient forces stirring beneath the world, with new quests revealing more about the lost civilisation.
  • Part 3 opens up new areas, enemies, allies and puzzles.
  • Part 4 ties the mysteries together, building to a confrontation that will shape the future of the Exiled Lands.

Repairing legendary items

In response to requests from the community, the update adds the ability to repair legendary weapons and armour that have worn down through use. The means of doing so is hidden in the depths of the new area, giving veteran players a strong reason to explore it.

Platforms

The updates will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The remaining three chapters will follow at intervals over the coming months, all free of charge.

Conan Exiles, first released in 2018, is a survival game set in the world of Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian, in which players must build, craft and fight to survive in a hostile land.
